Corpus Christi and St. Josemaria
Each year, Catholics from the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas and the Diocese of Kansas City – St. Joseph join together for a Corpus Christi Procession. Pictures here are from the procession which took place yesterday afternoon in Lenexa, Kansas. As in years past, KCK Archbishop Joseph Naumann and KCSJ Bishop Robert Finn took turns carrying the monstrance.

The Diplomatic Society of St. Gabriel (DSSG) meet with the Pope. President, Consul General Brother Arnold Foote,shakes the hand of His Holiness. DSSG is an international professional and fraternal society of diplomats and consuls dedicated to advancing global peace, development and humanitarianism.The DSSG supports the Medical Missionaries of the M.I.

Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. This was our spring pilgrimage activity, we learned so much about St Catherine. she was a pillar of humility. This was the Ave Maria Village with both leaders from our new villages.

The celebration for Blessed John Paul was full of Polish pastries and Vatican flags..we did the Luminous mysteries and Divine Mercy Chaplet. This was the Ave Maria Village ...always a light turn out for May..lots of activity in our Catholic area.

The National MI Board Meeting was hosted by the Father Kolbe Missionaries at their facility in West Covina, CA on February 21st. Fr. Patrick Greenough, OFM Conv., Br. Juniper Kriss, OFM Conv., Br. Daniel Quakenbush, OFM Conv., Anna Brizzi FKM, Peter Ptak, Shevawn Pearson, Christine Rossi and Sr. Donna Marie, SMMI, were present. Fr. Greenough reviewed the minutes of the International Board Meeting that was held recently in Italy. It was agreed that there are four points that should be commonly presented to all the MI members throughout the world. They are: 1) The life of St. Maximilian, 2) The History of the MI, 3) What is consecration 4) An explanation of the Act of Consecration. From the National Board Meeting it was decided that a teaching aid will be made that includes these four points for distribution. Also, it was decided that it is important to reconnect with the MI members throughout the US and Canada. In order to do this, it was decided to update the websites, and share information between sites that reinforces the points mentioned above. It was agreed that the use of short video clips are most effective in teaching about St. Maximilian and consecration.

Over 60 young adults attended a recent MI Youth Leadership Retreat at Marytown. Also in the picture some of the conference speakers.

Pictured is Dr. Mac in Nepal, India. He is a doctor and member of the MI who is opening a Medical clinic for the poor under the auspices of the MI. Check out his web site for more information. Fr. MI International Assembly

The MI International Assembly was held in Rome at the Seraphicum, the International Theologate of the Conventual Franciscans. Members of the MI from all over the world attended the meeting which was held Oct 11 - 15, 2010. It consisted of conferences as well as commissions on Formation and Youth. At the end of the Assembly a new Council was elected.
