Together we celebrated the Annual St. Maximilian Kolbe Feast Day. Our Village Chaplain, Fr. Kottarathil, spoke on St. Max and living a spirituality that leads to Mary and in turn to Christ. Then we processed chanting, "Ave Maria" and carrying large red carnations to our plaza for a living rosary! White candles formed the rosary beads with a statue of our Blessed Mother at the 'medal'. We placed our carnations at her feet and then stood by a candle. We prayed in English, Spanish and Latin! The candles were lit by the person standing beside it and they lead the prayer. We concluded with an ice cream social. Looking forward to the “Year of the Family.”
